The mission of Visionbox is to develop the work of visionary artists through professional training and public performance.  Ms. Rincon founded Visionbox in 2011 to meet a need for more professional training for actors and artists in Denver.  Ms. Rincon is a graduate of the Yale School of Drama, a Fulbright Fellow, and was the Head of Acting at the National Theatre Conservatory for 18 years.  Visionbox is developing a new performance modality called low-friction, that emphasizes process over product, and the essential relationship between the actor, text and audience, with minimalistic multimedia production elements. Visionbox is currently in residence at L2 Arts & Culture Center on East Colfax Avenue.  L2 Arts and Culture Center has a newly renovated 500 seat theater, and is a presenter for local arts events including Swallow Hill and The Denver Film Society.
