"Avenue Q" is a laugh-out-loud musical that tells the timeless story of a recent college grad named Princeton who moves into a shabby New York apartment all the way out on Avenue Q. There, he meets Kate (the girl next door), Rod (the Republican), Trekkie (the internet sexpert), Lucy the Slut (need we say more?) and other colorful types who help Princeton finally discover his purpose in life!

Director Bernie Cardell returns with the original award-winning 2011 Denver cast Keith Rabin (Princeton), Carolyn Lohr (Kate/Lucy the Slut), Patrick Brownson (Trekki Monster), Mark Shonsey (Nicky), Steffan Scrogan (Rod), Arlene Rapal (Christmas Eve), Eric Fry (Brian), Anna High (Gary Coleman), Paul Jaquith (Bad Idea Bear/Puppeteer), and Leslie Randall Chapman (Bad Idea Bear/Mrs. Thistletwat/Puppeteer).
"Avenue Q" is an autobiographical and biographical coming-of-age parable, addressing and satirizing the issues and anxieties associated with entering adulthood. The characters lament that, as children, they were assured that they were “special” and “could do anything;” but, as adults, they have discovered to their surprise and dismay that in the real world, their options are limited. They also discover that they are no more “special” than anyone else. This musical is notable for the use of puppets (Sesame Street-style), who are animated and voiced by actor/puppeteers who are present, unconcealed onstage, but remain “invisible” relative to the storyline.
"Avenue Q" won the 2004 Tony Awards for Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical and Best Original Score with innovative and originals songs like "It Sucks to Be Me," "Everyone's a Little Bit Racist," "The Internet is for Porn" and "What Do You Do With a B.A. in English?"
