Someone once said that Colfax Avenue is "not your grandmother's main street." Thankfully, this is true. Colfax is colorful, original and anything but traditional. It's a place where beautiful architecture like East High School coexists with vibrant murals adorning a variety of unique local businesses. The patrons who visit these shops range from business people on lunch break and joggers making their way to City Park, to Colfax regulars who can resemble, to quote an Atmosphere song, "a cloud of tattoos, pierced body parts and colorful hairdos."
As they say, "This is not your grandmother's main street."
