JAMISONKANE ENTERTAINMENT & SEAVIEW PRODUCTIONS PRESENT THE WORLD PREMIERE OF “THE FIFTH DENTIST IN SEARCH OF SID’S TREASURE, A TRIBUTE TO THE SULTAN OF STRIPTEASE

New Play Honoring the Late-Great Sid King to Make it’s Debut August 6th, 2016 at The Studio Loft, Denver Performing Arts Complex

(NEW YORK)  July 11th, 2016 - Former Denver resident Mike King aka “The Fifth Dentist,” is bringing his father Sid King back to life.  Written as a love letter to his dad, Mike will perform his show based on his life story as a dentist, a stand up comedian, and the son of a “nightclub” owner.

“My dad found passion in everything he did,” said King.  “I wrote this play to honor him and premiering it in Denver is the perfect homecoming.”

Produced by JamisonKane Entertainment & Seaview Productions, “The Fifth Dentist in Search of Sid’s Treasure” is crowd-funding on Indiegogo to cover the costs of the production.  The play is directed by Broadway Director Jonathan Cerullo.

Mike King has been living in New York City for many years working as a pediatric dentist, while performing stand up.  He has appeared on Comedy Central, even opening for comic giant Ray Romano.

Sid King with Clint Eastwood in the 1970s
Longtime residents of Denver still remember local legend Sid King.  For 35 years, he was the proud owner of “Sid King’s Crazy Horse Bar,” the world-famous burlesque house that lived on East Colfax Avenue.  Sid was the infectious host who mingled with guests and told jokes on stage while the crowd roared with laughter.  Everyone from Elvis Presley, to Clint Eastwood came to the Crazy Horse - even prompting Eastwood to film a scene from his movie “Every Which Way But Loose” there.

The world premiere of “The Fifth Dentist in Search of Sid’s Treasure” will take place at the Studio Loft, Denver Performing Arts Center on Saturday August 6th at 7pm.

All proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Children’s Hospital Colorado – Sid King’s favorite charity.  Tickets go on sale July 18th.  For more information, and to make a donation, visit the website at sidstreasureplay.com
