Explosion rocks the Driftwood Motel

Firefighters responded to a report of a boiler explosion at the Driftwood Motel Wednesday morning on Oneida Street near Colfax Avenue. The incident happened around 10 a.m.
One person suffered flash burns and was taken to a local hospital for treatment, said Mark Watson, a Denver Fire Department spokesman.
A fire house is across the street from the motel and firefighters were quickly able to put out the fire. Damage appears to be minor at this point.
