Mammoth Garden Sign Scrapped?

From Rocky Mountain News article dated October 3, 1966, this photo shows the sign from the Mammoth Garden being taken down. Not sure what ever became of the sign, I'm just hoping it wasn't sold for scrap! Today it's the Fillmore Auditorium.
