The Aurora Cultural Arts District (ACAD) is pleased to announce its annual Aurora Arts Festival. “We’ve ramped up big time!” Says Satya Wimbish, ACAD Vice President.
The Aurora Arts Festival will be held in Fletcher Plaza at 9898 E. Colfax Ave. Saturday, June 28th from 10am-8pm near the Martin Luther King Library in urban Aurora. The festival will include art work from 50 local artists and community exhibitors this year, many of which will celebrate the festival’s recycle and upcycle art theme. Festival organizers have also added a second entertainment stage to the event for double the entertainment!

Our goal is to be a reflection of the deep rooted and diverse community A-Town has to offer. We’ll be highlighting artists who live in the surrounding neighborhoods as well as hosting local performing arts and neighborhood groups.” Says Tracy Weil the Managing Director of the Aurora Cultural Arts District.

The entertainment lineup this year includes Buckner Funken Jazz, Limit 3, Chance Trio with Kim Stone, the Doug Roche Quartet, Ginga, Purnell Steen and Le Jazz Machine, Groove Nation Orchestra and more! The Aurora Cultural Arts District is teaming up with KUVO who is sponsoring the event. “We’re pulling out all the stops this year and creating an entertainment experience that showcases several of the Jazz greats in Metro Denver, as well as some terrific international acts to celebrate our neighborhood’s vibrant diversity.” adds Carolyn Bartels, ACAD’s Development Director.
