On February 22, Denver's City Park is the place to be, no matter what the weather. A celebration of winter, the Polar Plunge Splash & Dash will attract runners, beer enthusiasts, music lovers and those Coloradans with the warmest of hearts – Polar Plungers. The 5K run/walk around the park kicks off the event, followed by the Polar Plunge into an icy pool of water. Stick around after for a free beer from one of Denver's fine craft breweries on site – Dry Dock, Great Divide, Renegade and Lone Tree Brewing Companies. After your first drink, beers will be available for purchase. What better way to cheer on fellow Plungers than with a cold one in hand? If running, plunging or drinking works up your appetite, taste free samples of chili at the "Chilly" Cook-off featuring Jason’s Deli, Carino's and Ted Montana Grill.
Proceeds benefit Special Olympics Colorado and its Project UNIFY program – striving to build acceptance for all people in our community and in our schools. Register online here. Sunshine or snow, the Splash & Dash is sure to break your cabin fever and get you out to enjoy what our beautiful city has to offer, even in the winter!
