Denver Pop Festival: The Jimi Hendrix Experience last ever gig took place on Colfax

The Denver Pop Festival show was the very last performance of the Jimi Hendrix Experience. The show was plagued by riots and tear gas. Rumor has it, they disbanded backstage. The old Mile High Stadium was on the land adjacent to the Colfax Avenue viaduct.
