Madd Mann's Minute: The Sheepdogs Concert Review

Canadian rockers "The Sheepdogs" lit up the Bluebird last Tuesday the 9th.  On tour in support of their new self titled album, they stopped to rock Colfax in the middle their 30+ date US tour.   The performance was exquisite. Wonderful major key guitar harmony lines with 4 part vocal harmonies, it doesn't get much better!  The Sheepdogs were a 5 piece having added keys for this tour to texture the sound and add another vocal layer.   They blazed through their set leaving a very enthusiastic Bluebird crowd cheering and begging for more.

From their bio:
The Sheepdogs won an international competition in 2011 securing them the cover of Rolling Stone, making the group the first unsigned band to appear on its front page. The win, decided by 1.5 million public votes, also scored them a record deal with Atlantic, which offered up a new EP from the band, Five Easy Pieces, in August 2011.

Kristy Myers and Ewan Currie
Former Miss Colfax, Kristy Myers, caught up with lead singer Ewan Currie after the show. Ewan, a gentle giant, was happy to talk about their tour, the new album and chat with us. He loves Colfax and looks forward to coming back to play on a weekend.--- Ryan Chrys, aka "The Mile High City Madd Mann"
