Russell Scott, better known as Blinky the Clown, has passed away at age 91. Scott starred in the Denver television classic "Blinky's Fun Club" for 40 years. The show was canceled in 1998.
His character was probably most well known for his rendition of Happy Birthday. Watch a clip here:

Scott holds many records, including The Longest Career of a Children's Television Host - in the United States, the Second Longest Broadcast Career of a Children's Television Show Host in the world and the Longest Career of a Television Clown in the world. He was even the subject of a documentary in 2006 called "Blinky."
Scott owned Blinky's Antiques and Collectibles on South Broadway in Denver. After 22 years, the shop closed in 2008.

Blinky's son-in-law owns and operates Steve's Snappin' Dogs at 3525 E. Colfax Avenue in Denver. Stop in for a hot dog and a Knockout Shake and give him your condolences!
