Whiskey Bill's: 100 Proof Fun

Once located at W. Colfax & Vance, Whiskey Bill's was a popular nightclub for decades featuring live bands 3 - 5 nights a week.

  1. Anyone know why it closed? I heard rumors but that may not be what really happened. One of my favorite places before leaving town for a while.

    1. I recall the rumors...it was 'alleged' that Eminent Domain occurred. Home Depot is there now. I miss that dive bar too. I used to play Volleyball out back in black combat boots before/after a concert. I saw LA Guns there in 2005/2006 I think it was. Rocked out to Ballad of Jayne. Oh the memories!

    2. All good things come to an end. No eminent domain. It basically just ran its course and everyone started fighting and divorcing and it just became not fun anymore. People. It happens.

  2. I worked there in the early 90's. It was fun place but those times are long gone. Owners absolutely hated each other towards the end.
