7 Day/Night Event -Live Music & Learning Featuring Colorado Bands & Musicians
From Bob Dylan to Judy Collins, Colorado’s music scene is rooted in
the rich cultural history of Upper Colfax. Finally, a musical
celebration of the Colfax musical legacy will launch this spring with
the introduction of The Upper Colfax Root 40 MusicFest- aseven
day music event designed to entertain, enlighten, educate and encourage
new participation in Colorado’s music and performance community.
The Upper Colfax Root 40 MusicFest will be held along historic
US Route 40 in the bars, restaurants and music venues that featured
well known musicians early in their careers, as well as the next
generation of Colorado talent. Launching with a free Music EXPO at The
Fillmore on April 22, the week will feature local and national speakers
from the music industry during the day and live music each night. A
portion of event proceeds will benefit neighboring school music
programs.
