Lane's Tavern

This picture of Lane's Tavern from 1995 gives some perspective on the size of the sign that now hangs at the Lakewood Heritage Center. Not only is it big, but it's animated -- with neon beer slowly filling up the glass and flowing over the top.

    Nessie and Bennie are so missed. RIP. No place like it, in Paris or New York. Platters of 7 oz. COORS. No pitchers, no TV.

    Yes. Order a “tray” and it was a dollar. Giant No singing or dancing sign prominently displayed. Went every day after work. Never got the 86 like Deacon.

      Went to Lanes Tavern regularly in 1984/85. 7 oz beer for 40 cents

    Did they used to have a weekly 25 cent glass of Coors Beer night back in the early 1970s?

    Just remembered the name of the place and googled it. 48 years ago. I can't remember if it was six or eight beers for a buck. Small glasses but still.
