Nessie and Bennie are so missed. RIP. No place like it, in Paris or New York. Platters of 7 oz. COORS. No pitchers, no TV.

ReplyDeleteYes. Order a “tray” and it was a dollar. Giant No singing or dancing sign prominently displayed. Went every day after work. Never got the 86 like Deacon.
I was the last employee out the door when Lane's closed in 1995. Wah!
ReplyDeleteWent to Lanes Tavern regularly in 1984/85. 7 oz beer for 40 cents
DeleteMiss you and Lane's Tavern.
DeleteDid they used to have a weekly 25 cent glass of Coors Beer night back in the early 1970s?
ReplyDeleteJust remembered the name of the place and googled it. 48 years ago. I can't remember if it was six or eight beers for a buck. Small glasses but still.
