Colfax Ave, Aurora, CO 80010. Performances are Fridays & Saturdays @ 7:30 p.m., Sundays @ 2 p.m., Monday, December 16 and Thursday, December 19 at 7:30 p.m.
This story of George Bailey and his wonderful life in Bedford Falls remains a timeless fable of dreams, disillusionment and the power of love. An uplifting chronicle of the extraordinary lives of ordinary folk, It's a Wonderful Life exhilarates the mind and heart as it celebrates the innate goodness in us all.
The cast includes Jeremy Palmer (George Bailey), Lyndsay Palmer (Mary [Hatch] Bailey), Trenton Schindele (Clarence), Michael Leopard (Mr. Potter), Jaime Lewis (Uncle Billy) along with Eddie Blackshere, Lily Blessing, Noal Blessing, Tammy Davidson, Everett Ediger, Harper Ediger, Cassie Ferro, Donna Gunnison, Twanna Latrice Hill, Ashley Kelashian, Kim Jackson, Amber Marsh, Edric Richerson, Eric Richerson, Lucy Roucis, Daniel Traylor, Shannon Wilson, David Wright and Lisa Young.
When asked about his choice of this show Artistic Director Steve Wilson said, "The great power of the story of It's a Wonderful Life rests upon the central notion of the tremendous value of each individual contribution to the fabric of our human journey. When George Bailey considers ending his life and is shown the deep impact of his existence, we are all forced to ponder our own impact upon the world. The Phamaly Theatre Company is made up of performers who might believe on any given day that they don't have such a wonderful life, and yet their contribution to the beauty and diversity of our community is immense. The very existence of our company and the presentation of this production highlights the extraordinary value they offer each and every day. While the iconic film version has us weeping each year during the holidays, our Live Theatre production brings an authenticity and electricity to this quintessential American story about the complexity, beauty and value of life."
Audio Description and Sign Language Interpretation will be provided on Sunday, December 15 with a post-show talk back. Phamaly will also offer a backstage sensory tour at 11:00a.m. The sensory tour brings individuals on stage for a tactile experience, touching elements of the set, costumes, and prop pieces.
