The Photography of Diane Victoria Flores

Over the years, Diane Victoria Flores captured one of our favorite subjects on film: the neon signs of Colfax. Many of these signs are no longer in existence, so if it weren't for Diane, we'd never get to see them! Thanks!!

She also creates one of a kind and limited edition jewelry (www.wadibijou.com). Eventually she plans to put together work for a show featuring the neon sign images, but that is tentatively scheduled for sometime in July.

Save the Signs: Dale Sawin

On Saturday, May 24th, Dale Sawin walked the entire length of "America's longest, wickedest street" with his hand-made Save the Signs flag. Starting at 7 am in Aurora where East Colfax crosses I-70, Dale made it to Golden later that night in the rain. He even waited out a tornado warning at Casa Bonita.

Here's what Dale had to say about the adventure: "It was always a bucket-list idea to walk America's longest street. But helping raise awareness for Save the Signs seemed like the right thing to do while I walked. It was truly one of my favorite days ever."
